⚽ Historical Background
This shirt was worn by the Republic of Ireland under manager Jack Charlton during the 1992–1993 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.
It marked the transition from the classic late-1980s designs (Euro ’88, Italia ’90) to the modern 1990s adidas Equipment aesthetic.
The team wore this shirt throughout the qualifiers leading up to the 1994 FIFA World Cup in the USA.
